Interesting Trivia.... Halo was on the ps2 1st!


A sci-fi shooter that takes place on a mysterious alien ring world, Halo: Combat Evolved is an action-packed experience that allows players to battle their enemies on foot and in vehicles with alien and human weaponry. The production of Halo has a long and tumultuous history. The title was originally designed as a breakthrough game for Apple's Mac systems, and console versions of the game also became a high-priority project for the development team when it signed with Take-Two. As all PlayStation 2 owners are aware, however, production on Halo was shifted immediately to an Xbox version in 2000 when Take-Two Interactive sold its 20% share of developer Bungie to Microsoft. Thereby solidifying Halo's position as an Xbox and PC exclusive (with a Mac port much, much later on) forever.

So, after playing the game over at V (Cpt Internet)'s house...I have this to say:

The game is fun, but not quite as groundbreaking or world-changing as people seemed to think it would be.

granted, it's got some _REALLY_ fun points (we played 4p co-op before our other friend's 360 ate his Halo disc...yeah...it happened....wish I had taken a picture of it...) but it feels to me to be Halo with _EVEN MORE_ weapons and some tidied up graphics...that's really all...
more weapons + better graphics != groundbreaking game
Completely changing the way you play a game + pretty graphics + deep story driven by decades of lore = amazing game that I still have yet to find the time to break out and play...but when I do, I'll definitely post my thoughts...

You can have a master chief on Little big planet! PS3 game tho!

I never thought I would actually find myself excited over a Microsoft related product. But there I was at midnight grabbing my copy and running home to play.
The game is everything I've expected so far.

Changing the world??... hrmm... perhaps it will cause a slight downfall in society, b/c all Halo 3 fans will be glued to this for a long long time. Many will fail out of school and lose jobs b/c Halo has consumed them.
