McDowell Signed for Three Halloween Movies

While talking about playing Linderman in NBC's "Heroes," Malcolm McDowell also briefly discussed taking over the role of Dr. Loomis in the new Halloween, directed by Rob Zombie.

"I've signed for three," said McDowell, "How about that? They obviously think it's going to be a big hit."

McDowell has never seen any of the "Halloween" movies, and Zombie told him not to. "It's a new look, it's a reinvention of it and he is completely different, my Loomis, I presume. So I guess there will be some people that will be sort of disappointed if they think I'm just going to copy [Donald Pleasence] because I'm not."

Halloween hits theaters on August 31.

Harry Potter 5 Moved Up Two Days!

ComingSoon.net has learned that Warner Bros. Pictures has moved up Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix two days, from Friday, July 13 to Wednesday, July 11. This will give the movie a potential big five-day opening, from Wednesday through Sunday.

The move also cuts into Transformers' reign at the box office, with the Michael Bay-directed film opening on July 4, just seven days before.

A few days ago, Michael Madsen was quoted saying that the poor performance of Grindhouse might affect whether Sin City 2 will be made. Not true, according to words from Frank Miller in a new interview at Rotten Tomatoes:

Of course, by stroke of coincidence we learned just before we sat down with Miller that Robert Rodriguez had been signed onto a remake of the classic sixties sex flick "Barbarella." So what of "Sin City 2"? Rumours swirl that the project has been stalled by the breakdown of Rodriguez' marriage. "Sin City 2 is still likely to happen," says Miller, "just not right away. The script is written and Robert and I are raring to go, but it looks like I'm going to be doing The Spirit first and Robert's going to be doing Barbarella first."

Just a few days ago, Paramount Pictures announced that Transformers was moved up a day to July 3rd. Now, director Michael Bay's News Blog says that you'll be able to see the film even earlier - the night of July 2nd.

Transformers stars Shia LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, Anthony Anderson, Rachael Taylor, Megan Fox, John Turturro and Jon Voight.

Kill Bill 3 and 4 Details?

CriEnglish.com is reporting (via Hangzhou's City Express) that "Kill Bill" Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 executive producer E. Bennett Walsh has revealed details of a possible third and fourth film:

The plots of Kill Bill 3 and 4 have been shaped and there is a chance director Quentin Tarantino will return to China to shoot them, an executive producer of the first two films said on Friday.

Bennett Walsh said at the Shanghai International Film Festival the third film involves the revenge of two killers whose arms and eyes were hacked by Uma Thurman in the first stories.

The fourth instalment of the popular kung fu action films concerns a cycle of reprisals and daughters who avenge their mother's deaths, Hangzhou-based newspaper City Express quoted Bennett as saying.

While Tarantino has talked about continuing the films, there's been no official confirmation it will happen
